Exciting 2022 News in Your BV REC Team!

Earl Richmond will transition to the new Recreation Special Projects Manager role. After many productive years as a member of the Recreation Advisory Board, Earl has served as the Recreation Director for almost three years now. With this move to the Project Manager position, Earl will focus on planning and delivering capital improvements, funding strategies, and master planning. He will also serve as a liaison with our partner boards, groups, and agencies.

Shane Basford will move into the department leadership role as the new Recreation Supervisor. Shane has been with the Town for almost five years and is the face of BV Rec Programs. Shane has led our team during this time of significant growth as we’ve added several major programs and have seen a substantial increase in youth and adult participants. Shane brings a wealth of recreation experience, leadership skills, and a well-established relationship with the community to his role of Supervisor of the Recreation Department.

All other integral department staff members remain on our Rec team and are working hard to plan a fun and productive year in 2022 for our community. These staff members include:

Tucker Wildeson – Recreation Program Coordinator (1)
Ben Eichel – Facility Reservations and Special Event Permitting
Jenny Depew – Recreation Administrative Assistant

With this shift in structure within the Recreation Department comes an opportunity for interested individuals to apply for the open position of Recreation Program Coordinator (2).

If you consider joining the BV Rec Team, please review the opportunity and application process using the button to visit our job opportunities page on our Town’s website.
