Rockies Skills Challenge 2025

Ages: 6-13 (as of August 9, 2025: proposed date of the Rockies Skills Challenge State Competition)

Location: Buena Vista High School Baseball Field

The Rockies Baseball Skills Challenge provides the youth of Colorado with a statewide baseball competition testing their skills in running, hitting and throwing. See how fast you can run the bases, how far you can hit, and how far you can throw. There are four age divisions: 6/7, 8/9, 10/11 and 12/13 for both boys and girls. The top scorer in each age group will advance to a Sectional Competition, with a chance to compete at the State Championship.

The BV Local Competition will be held Saturday, June 14 at the High School Baseball Field in the Buena Vista River Park. Registration will be from 9:30-10:00am, and the Competition will begin at 10:00am. The Competition typically lasts 1.5-2.5 hours, including awards, depending on the number of participants.

No metal spike shoes will be permitted. Only sneakers or plastic/rubber cleats. You are allowed to bring your own bat if you wish. All other equipment will be provided.
