DESCRIPTION:Achieve Social: Arcade and Game Night \nCoed \nAges: 14 and Older \n$5/Participant \nThursday\, January 8\, 2026 \nRegistration Deadline: Monday\, January 5th! \nWarm up with pizza and Arcade games with Achieve Social! \nMeet at the Fun Street Family Arcade at 5:00pm (243 F St\, Salida\, CO 81201). This event will last until 7:00pm! \nBuena Vista Recreation is excited to partner with Achieve\, Inc to offer stand-alone Achieve Social programs designed to support and include neurodivergent individuals\, including those on the autism spectrum\, with ADD/ADHD\, and related disabilities. The inclusive outings provide opportunities to build communication\, teamwork\, and confidence\, while supporting social and cognitive growth for individuals in Chaffee County and the surrounding area. \nEvents are designed for individuals ages 14 and up. Each activity is supported by trained staff and volunteers\, with a minimum ratio of one support person for every three participants. If a participant requires more individualized support\, they are welcome to attend withe a personal caregiver\, mentor\, or support person. All attendees – including neurodivergent individuals\, friends\, family members\, and volunteers – must register separately to ensure adequate planning and accommodation. \nSign up by Monday\, January 5th\, 2026. All proceeds will go toward Gary’s time and wear and tear on his game collection. Please support Gary and his passion to provide gaming opportunities for his community! \nBV Rec is excited to be offering Game Night! This program was formerly held at the Buena Vista Public Library and will now be teaming up with Buena Vista Recreation to bring you a day of board games for the whole family. \nGame night will be available to all age ranges. There will be a large variety of games to play\, spanning from games that can accommodate two people or a larger group. Game night will be hosted in collaboration with Gary Johnson who has an extensive library of games that he will have available\, as well as his knowledge on the rules and game play information. \nCome enjoy an exciting day of fun!
