DESCRIPTION:Youth Summer Basketball Skills & Fun \nCoed  –  Grades 3-8 (as of Fall 2025)  –  $75    \nSundays\, June 1\, 8\, 15 & 22  –  Grades 3-5: 5:00-6:00pm  –  Grades 6-8: 6:00-7:00pm       \nBuena Vista High School Red and White Gyms (559 South Railroad)\n \nBuena Vista Recreation is excited to partner with Coach Kevin Lubbers and Coach Scott Crites to provide a summer youth basketball skills clinic! This program is for anyone that enjoys basketball and has a desire to improve their skills and have fun while doing so. Everyone is welcome\, regardless of your basketball background and experience. Coach Lubbers has 20 years of College Basketball coaching experience and leading camps just like this one. Coach Crites is the current Associate Head Coach for Girls Varsity Basketball\, the AD at BV High School\, and a staple of Buena Vista Basketball for many years on the Boys and Girls sides. Coach Lubbers and Coach Crites will have the help of high school basketball players assisting them with the goal of individual player development. Our goal is to provide a positive environment so each athlete will gain confidence as a basketball player while improving their physical skills. The inclusive outings provide opportunities to build communication\, teamwork\, and confidence\, while supporting social and cognitive growth for individuals in Chaffee County and the surrounding area. \nEvents are designed for individuals ages 14 and up. Each activity is supported by trained staff and volunteers\, with a minimum ratio of one support person for every three participants. If a participant requires more individualized support\, they are welcome to attend withe a personal caregiver\, mentor\, or support person.
