Practices will be led by trained Practice Facilitators. Game schedule and locations will be released after the season begins. All age groups will begin practice the week of Monday\, March 30. All age groups will play their first games on Saturday\, April 11 and final games on Saturday\, May 16.\n \nSeason Dates: March 30-May 16\n \nAge: Players born in 2016-2017\n \nCost: Early Registration Discount! (Register Before March 2nd) – $70\n Registration After March 2nd – $85\n \nPractice Times: \n\nGirls – Mondays & Wednesdays @ 5:30-6:45pm \nBoys – Tuesdays & Thursdays @ 5:30-6:45pm \n\n \nPractice Location: Sheila Stout Memorial Field (Softball Field)\n \nGame Day: Saturdays\n \nREGISTRATION DEADLINE: Friday\, March 13\, 2025\n \n \nUniforms: 2016-2017’s players will wear the same red dry-fit jersey every season. If a player does not have a jersey or needs a new one\, they can be purchased during registration for $20. Shin guards covered by a sock are required at all practices and games. Athletic shoes or soccer cleats (no front toe cleat) are recommended.\n \n\n\n\n\n\nVolunteer Coaches: We need you! Volunteer parent coaches are eligible to receive a 50% participant registration fee refund at the end of the season. Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.\nCost: FREE!\nWhen: Sunday\, April 26th from 1:00-3:00pm\nMeeting location: West Side Dirt Parking Lot of the Buena Vista Community Center – 715 E Main St. Buena Vista Colorado\, 81211 \nBuena Vista Recreation is excited to announce the sixth annual Keeping Bewnie Buena! – BV Neighborhood Clean-Up Day is scheduled for Sunday\, April 26 from 1:00-3:00pm. Join your friends and family for a fun filled afternoon centered around cleaning up surface trash in and around the town of Buena Vista’s streets\, parks\, and open spaces. \n\n \nCommunity members can meet at the BV Community Center. All participants will check in at 1:00pm (pre-registered folks will receive a t-shirt at check in). We will divide into small working groups\, and you will be given a designated area to focus on. We will have options for locations to walk to or drive to. The Town of Buena Vista will provide a large trash receptacle at the parking lot of the Community Center for everyone to dispose of their clean-up bounty.\n \nAfter Party:  Join other volunteers for a celebration at the Eddyline Brewery and Pub\, featuring pizza (while supplies last) and discounted beverages.  3:00-4:00pm at 102 Linderman Ave.\n \nHow to prepare:\nBring your own gloves for clean up day\nFacilitators will have bags for folks to use at the meet-up location\nFeel free to bring your own TRDs (trash removal devices) and use your own waste bags if that is preferable\n \nWhy are we doing this?\nA large group of locals have done a very similar activity each spring for the last 20 years but have only focused on the River Park area. We feel this spring would be another great time to get outside and do something rewarding that everyone will appreciate immensely. And why not help keep Bewnie Buena?\n \nPlease register each individual that plans to participate.\n\n \nThe registration deadline to secure a free t-shirt is Thursday\, April 9th. This coed youth volleyball program will consist of camp-style practices led by BVHS Volleyball coaches and players. The focus will be to teach fundamental volleyball skills in a fun environment. Participants will practice and play with players of similar age and ability but will not have a set team. This is a FUNdamentals camp focusing on skills\, drills\, and technique. The drills include modified games that will maximize each participants’ contacts and help them progress with their skills. Each night\, coaches will finish with a fun\, game-like drill that will transfer over to the game of volleyball. After registering\, we will reach out to parents that have requested to rent gear to set up a time to fit your children for their gear. The gear pickup day will take place on Friday\, January 30th. Gather your friends or bring the whole family to the Buena Vista Community Center (located at 715 E Main Street in Buena Vista) to enjoy hot beverages and holiday cookie decorating to kick off the holiday season!  \nReservations are made by table. Each table can accommodate a maximum of six participants. Each time slot is 30 minutes long\, and we only have 4 tables available in each time slot\, so reserve yours today! Multiple tables can be reserved\, if availability allows. When reserving multiple tables in the same time slot\, you will only be able to reserve one table per account. DESCRIPTION:5-6 Grade Youth Basketball – Fall 2025 \nBV Rec & BVHS Boys Basketball are partnering once again to bring you the Youth Basketball League! The League is open for players in K-6th Grades. Girls & Boys will be split into volunteer-coached teams in the 1-2\, 3-4\, and 5-6 grade divisions. The Kindergarten age group will be coed and run camp-style (practices and scrimmages during the week with no games on the weekends). Practices will be led by trained BV Rec Practice Facilitators for the Kindergarten and 1-2 grade age groups. While the 3-4 and 5-6 grade age groups’ practices will be led by the BVHS Boys Basketball coaches and players.  \n \nGame schedule and locations will be released after the season begins. All age groups will begin practice the week of Monday\, October 13. All age groups will play their first games on Saturday\, October 25 and final games on Saturday\, December 6. Games will typically be played 4v4 on a full 2-hoop side court. Players and coaches will receive a team t-shirt\, which is included in the registration fee. Coach Lubbers has 20 years of College Basketball coaching experience and leading camps just like this one. Coach Crites is the current Associate Head Coach for Girls Varsity Basketball\, the AD at BV High School\, and a staple of Buena Vista Basketball for many years on the Boys and Girls sides. Coach Lubbers and Coach Crites will have the help of high school basketball players assisting them with the goal of individual player development. Our goal is to provide a positive environment so each athlete will gain confidence as a basketball player while improving their physical skills.
