This program was formerly held at the Buena Vista Public Library and will now be teaming up with Buena Vista Recreation to bring you a day of board games for the whole family. \nGame night will be available to all age ranges. There will be a large variety of games to play\, spanning from games that can accommodate two people or a larger group. Game night will be hosted in collaboration with Gary Johnson who has an extensive library of games that he will have available\, as well as his knowledge on the rules and game play information. \nCome enjoy an exciting day of fun! Game night is for everyone\, with games that will entertain kids\, teens\, adults and seniors alike! \nPlease feel free to bring your own snack and beverage to the event (Non-alcoholic beverages only\, no alcohol allowed on site.) \nDrop in anytime between 12:00-9:00pm \nWINTER 2026 EVENTS \nJANUARY 10 – “Party Time” \n– A perfect way to kick off the new year is with friends and some great “Party” games. \nFEBRUARY 21 – “ONE ON ONE TIME” \n– In the spirit of Valentines Day\, this month will feature great games for two players and a special “Newlywed” Style event for couples and families to add to the fun. \nMARCH 14 – “MARCH MADNESS” \n– Gaming Tournaments and Games with a Sports theme featured. \nAPRIL 11 – “APRILS FOOLING” \n-A mix of games that are just plain silly-fun and fantastic games of investigation\, deduction\, deception and puzzles that seek to fool you.   \nClick here to register for Game Night!

DESCRIPTION:Young at Heart Field Trips 2026 \nPlease join BV Rec and Young at Heart for one or all of the fun\, social field trips taking place in 2026! Young at Heart is a social group for those aged 55+. These field trips are a great opportunity to get out with friends and be social. \nFor each field trip\, we will visit a location within the surrounding area and then eat lunch together as a group. BV Rec will provide transportation for the field trip. We will always meet at the BV Community Center (715 E Main St) and then return to the BV Community Center after. The locations and lunch spots are determined by the Young at Heart board. \nWednesday\, May 20th – Royal Gorge Regional Museum in Canon City \n$10 (includes transportation to and from Canon City) \nThe first Young at Heart Field Trip of 2026 will take us to the Royal Gorge Regional Museum in Canon City! The trip is scheduled for Wednesday\, May 20th. BV Rec will provide transportation to and from Canon City. Please meet at the Buena Vista Community Center (715 E Main St) at 8:00am. We will return to the Community Center around 3:00pm. We will spend time walking around the Museum and then will eat lunch at DiRito’s Italian Restaurant. The cost of $10 covers your transportation to and from Canon City. Lunch is NOT covered and everyone will need to pay for their own meal.
