Whether you’re new to the idea\, or an experienced skier\, come and join the fun of Cross Country Skiing!\n \nGear Rental is available for an additional $30\, in a limited supply. After registering\, we will reach out to parents that have requested to rent gear to set up a time to fit your children for their gear. The gear pickup day will take place on Friday\, January 30th. The Youth Cross Country Ski Explorers Banquet will be held at the Community Center after the last day of skiing on Thursday\, March 12th.\n \n*Please note that we are limited to a max of 40 participants in the program due to a limited number of coaches. No experience required. \nBV Rec provides supervisors to unlock the school\, get everything set up in the gym\, collect money\, make sure everyone signs in for that day and has a completed annual waiver on file\, facilitate game play\, clean up everything after play is finished and lock the building.  \nMonday mornings will be for any players ages 16 and older. Friday evenings and Sunday afternoons will be for any players ages 10 and older. Anyone under the age of 16 must be signed in by a parent. There must also be an adult present\, who is responsible for the participant\, for the entirety of the participant’s time at the gym. This adult does not have to be their parent. Parents or the adult assigned to supervise the child under 16 must always be responsible for that child. We do not want anyone just running around the gym and the school. The time is used to play pickleball\, not to just hang out. We will be offering two separate sessions each day. The early session on Tuesday and Wednesday will be from 5:15-7:15pm and the late session will be from 7:30-9:30pm. “Groups” may only reserve one court in one session per day. “Groups” are NOT allowed to reserve a court in both sessions on the same day. The DPCA gym has 3 pickleball courts\, so there will be a maximum of 3 “groups” per session per day at DPCA. The McGinnis Gym has 2 pickleball courts\, so there will be a maximum of 2 “groups” per session per day at McGinnis. Each “group” that reserves a spot will get their own court for that session. \nThis indoor season we will be using the same reservation system to reserve court times for anyone interested in pickleball arranged play\, lessons\, and/or training. A “group” can be as large or as small as you want it to be\, but you only get to use one court with your reservation. \nBelow is a step-by-step guide on how to register your group to be one of the groups allowed to utilize the gym’s pickleball courts on a given Tuesday evening\, Wednesday evening\, or Saturday afternoon. All Arranged Play reservations will be managed through BV Rec’s registration system ActiveNet. If you do not already have an account created with ActiveNet\, you will be prompted to create one. Without an account\, you will be unable to register your group for a session. \n\nPlease select one person from your group to be your group’s “representative” for that session. (From week to week\, the group “representative” can change as often as you would like.)\nThe selected person will make sure to select the activity with the correct date you wish to register your group for.\nPlease follow the prompts to either log in to ActiveNet\, if you already have an account\, or create an account\, if you have yet to do so.\nJust like online shopping\, you will be prompted to go through steps of “putting the registration in the cart” and then “checking out” to pay for your group’s reservation. (If you do not want to cover the entire $20 fee for your group\, you will need to pay up front\, and then ask those in your group to reimburse you.)\n\nGroups will need to pay $20 up front via the online system to use one pickleball court in either gym per session on your selected date. Each DPCA session will have a maximum of 3 groups allowed to register and use the gym that day. Each McGinnis Gym session will have a maximum of 2 groups allowed to register and use the gym that day. A group can consist of as many players as you want or it can be a solo person or couple. No matter the number of people in your group\, you are considered one group and will only have access to one court for that session. \nAll participants must have a signed 2026 BV Rec waiver on file and sign in on that session’s sign-in sheet. Individual players do not have to pay BV Rec. Group “representatives” that reserved for their group had to pay the $20 fee when registering. Players may pay back their group “representative” if they would like to and/or if the group “representative” requests players to do so. \nGroups must register online ahead of time. Groups are NOT allowed to just show up to either gym with the expectation of utilizing one of the courts. Groups may NOT reserve a court in both sessions (early and late) on the same day. Two players from the same group are NOT allowed to reserve courts on the same day. One reservation per day per group. Coed & Open Leagues are available. In Coed\, no more than three males or three females are allowed on the court at a time. In Open (formerly the Men’s League)\, there are no requirements for a certain number of males or females on the court at a time or on the roster. Games will be played 5-on-5\, and teams are required to have a minimum of 7 players on the team roster. Teams will play a round robin season and a post-season tournament. Teams are guaranteed a minimum of 8 games. Games will consist of 2\, 20-minute halves with a running clock. Halftime will be approximately 5 minutes. Coed & Open Leagues are available. In Coed\, no more than three males or three females are allowed on the court at a time. In Open (formerly the Men’s League)\, there are no requirements for a certain number of males or females on the court at a time or on the roster. Games will be played 5-on-5\, and teams are required to have a minimum of 7 players on the team roster. Teams will play a round robin season and a post-season tournament. Teams are guaranteed a minimum of 8 games. Games will consist of 2\, 20-minute halves with a running clock. Halftime will be approximately 5 minutes. DESCRIPTION:Pickleball: Arranged Play\, Lessons\, & Training \nTuesdays\, 5:15-7:15pm (Early Session) & 7:30-9:30pm (Late Session) – McGinnis Gym \nWednesdays\, 5:15-7:15pm (Early Session) & 7:30-9:30pm (Late Session) – DPCA \n$20 per “Group” | Maximum of 3 “Groups” at DPCA and 2 “Groups” at McGinnis Gym Per Session Per Day \nAges: 16+ | Darren Patterson Christian Academy and McGinnis Gym (Next to Avery Parsons Elementary) \nRegistration for ALL March & April 2026 dates at both DPCA & McGinnis Gym opens on Thursday\, February 19th at 12:00pm (noon). \nRegister your pickleball “group” to use the DPCA Gym or the McGinnis Gym (located next to Avery Parsons Elementary) on a Tuesday evening (McGinnis) or Wednesday evening (DPCA) for arranged play\, lessons\, and/or training! We will be offering two separate sessions each day. The early session on Tuesday and Wednesday will be from 5:15-7:15pm and the late session will be from 7:30-9:30pm. “Groups” may only reserve one court in one session per day. “Groups” are NOT allowed to reserve a court in both sessions on the same day. The DPCA gym has 3 pickleball courts\, so there will be a maximum of 3 “groups” per session per day at DPCA. The McGinnis Gym has 2 pickleball courts\, so there will be a maximum of 2 “groups” per session per day at McGinnis. Each “group” that reserves a spot will get their own court for that session. \nThis indoor season we will be using the same reservation system to reserve court times for anyone interested in pickleball arranged play\, lessons\, and/or training. A “group” can be as large or as small as you want it to be\, but you only get to use one court with your reservation. \nBelow is a step-by-step guide on how to register your group to be one of the groups allowed to utilize the gym’s pickleball courts on a given Tuesday evening\, Wednesday evening\, or Saturday afternoon. All Arranged Play reservations will be managed through BV Rec’s registration system ActiveNet. If you do not already have an account created with ActiveNet\, you will be prompted to create one. Without an account\, you will be unable to register your group for a session. \n\nPlease select one person from your group to be your group’s “representative” for that session. (From week to week\, the group “representative” can change as often as you would like.)\nThe selected person will make sure to select the activity with the correct date you wish to register your group for.\nPlease follow the prompts to either log in to ActiveNet\, if you already have an account\, or create an account\, if you have yet to do so.\nJust like online shopping\, you will be prompted to go through steps of “putting the registration in the cart” and then “checking out” to pay for your group’s reservation. (If you do not want to cover the entire $20 fee for your group\, you will need to pay up front\, and then ask those in your group to reimburse you.)\n\nGroups will need to pay $20 up front via the online system to use one pickleball court in either gym per session on your selected date. Each DPCA session will have a maximum of 3 groups allowed to register and use the gym that day. Each McGinnis Gym session will have a maximum of 2 groups allowed to register and use the gym that day. A group can consist of as many players as you want or it can be a solo person or couple. No matter the number of people in your group\, you are considered one group and will only have access to one court for that session. \nAll participants must have a signed 2026 BV Rec waiver on file and sign in on that session’s sign-in sheet. Individual players do not have to pay BV Rec. Group “representatives” that reserved for their group had to pay the $20 fee when registering. Players may pay back their group “representative” if they would like to and/or if the group “representative” requests players to do so. \nGroups must register online ahead of time. Groups are NOT allowed to just show up to either gym with the expectation of utilizing one of the courts. Groups may NOT reserve a court in both sessions (early and late) on the same day. Two players from the same group are NOT allowed to reserve courts on the same day. One reservation per day per group. Please follow the link below to access the Google Sheets document that shows who has reserved a spot and for which session. BV Rec will try their best to keep this document as up to date as possible. This document can be used as a tool to see who has booked a spot\, and to possibly reach out to them to see if they need another player. It can also be used by the group “representative” to see which players are already committed to play in other groups\, so you know which players you may contact to join your group. \nPickleball Arranged Play Reservations – Winter 2026 \nTHE ABOVE LINK IS NOT HOW YOU RESERVE YOUR GROUP FOR THAT SESSION. Please click on one of the large\, red buttons below corresponding to the date and session time you wish to reserve play for your group. This button will take you to our registration system ActiveNet. This is where you will pay the $20 fee and follow the instructions detailed above for your group to have court access at either McGinnis or DPCA. DESCRIPTION:Adult Open Indoor Soccer League (Formerly the Men’s League)\nAges: 16+ – $30/player (No Team Fee)\nTuesdays\, 6:00-10:00pm – January 13 – March 10\nDarren Patterson Christian Academy\n\n \nGet ready for the upcoming season of the Adult Indoor Soccer Leagues! Coed & Open Leagues are available. In Coed\, no more than three males or three females are allowed on the court at a time. In Open (formerly the Men’s League)\, there are no requirements for a certain number of males or females on the court at a time or on the roster. Games will be played 5-on-5\, and teams are required to have a minimum of 7 players on the team roster. Teams will play a round robin season and a post-season tournament. Teams are guaranteed a minimum of 8 games. Games will consist of 2\, 20-minute halves with a running clock. Halftime will be approximately 5 minutes. Players will call their own fouls. \n*Registration opens on Friday\, December 5th @ 9:00 AM.* \n\n\n*This league will be limited to 8 teams\, so please register early!* \n*Team Registration Deadline: Friday\, January 2*  *Late team fee of $50 will be applied after this date.* \n*For the Open League (formerly Men’s League)\, teams can consist of all males or all females or a mixture of both. We have made the switch to an Open League instead of the Men’s League due to the number of team registrations in previous seasons.
