Please apply for a scholarship today by following this link and submitting the online form!\nhttps://www.buenavistarec.com/scholarships/\n\n \nJoin experienced instructors from Buena Vista Mountain Adventures for the Youth Cross Country Ski Explorers program! Whether you’re new to the idea\, or an experienced skier\, come and join the fun of Cross Country Skiing!\n \nGear Rental is available for an additional $30\, in a limited supply. After registering\, we will reach out to parents that have requested to rent gear to set up a time to fit your children for their gear. The gear pickup day will take place on Friday\, January 30th. The Youth Cross Country Ski Explorers Banquet will be held at the Community Center after the last day of skiing on Thursday\, March 12th.\n \n*Please note that we are limited to a max of 40 participants in the program due to a limited number of coaches. Participants are encouraged to sign up for the Waiting List if the program is full. Participants will be added to the program if more coaches for the program are found. DESCRIPTION:Adult Coed Indoor Soccer League\nAges: 16+ – $30/player (No Team Fee)\nThursdays\, 6:00-10:00pm – January 15 – March 12\nDarren Patterson Christian Academy\n\n \nGet ready for the upcoming season of the Adult Indoor Soccer Leagues! Coed & Open Leagues are available. In Coed\, no more than three males or three females are allowed on the court at a time. In Open (formerly the Men’s League)\, there are no requirements for a certain number of males or females on the court at a time or on the roster. Games will be played 5-on-5\, and teams are required to have a minimum of 7 players on the team roster. Teams will play a round robin season and a post-season tournament. Teams are guaranteed a minimum of 8 games. Games will consist of 2\, 20-minute halves with a running clock. Halftime will be approximately 5 minutes. Game night will be hosted in collaboration with Gary Johnson who has an extensive library of games that he will have available\, as well as his knowledge on the rules and game play information. \nCome enjoy an exciting day of fun! (23715 US-50\, Salida\, CO 81201) \nTransportation will be provided for participants from Leadville\, Salida and Buena Vista. \nBuena Vista Recreation is excited to partner with Achieve\, Inc to offer stand-alone Achieve Social programs designed to support and include neurodivergent individuals\, including those on the autism spectrum\, with ADD/ADHD\, and related disabilities. The inclusive outings provide opportunities to build communication\, teamwork\, and confidence\, while supporting social and cognitive growth for individuals in Chaffee County and the surrounding area. \nEvents are designed for individuals ages 14 and up. Each activity is supported by trained staff and volunteers\, with a minimum ratio of one support person for every three participants. If a participant requires more individualized support\, they are welcome to attend withe a personal caregiver\, mentor\, or support person. All attendees – including neurodivergent individuals\, friends\, family members\, and volunteers – must register separately to ensure adequate planning and accommodation. \nSign up by Sunday\, February 15th! Certified Pickleball Coach Cami Jamerson will provide instruction that will teach the rules\, technique\, and strategy of the game. Equipment will be provided.\n \n\nThis will be the second Learn to Play session of 2026 after a very successful first session earlier in January. This second session will take place on Saturday\, February 21st at Darren Patterson Christian Academy (518 S San Juan Ave). If there is enough interest in this clinic\, we will schedule another one for March.\n \nMinimum of 6 participants needed per session.
