SUMMARY:Bus to Swimming Lessons - 2026
DESCRIPTION:Ages 6+      $105 per participant per session     \nThe Buena Vista Recreation Department is working with Salida Recreation to provide transportation to swimming lessons. Participants will meet at the BV Community Center each morning to ride the bus to Salida\, and be dropped off back at the Community Center after each lesson. Participants are expected to change clothes before and after swimming. Please only sign up through Buena Vista Recreation if you would like us to provide transportation to and from Salida for your child. DESCRIPTION: \n\n12U Live Pitch\nAges: 11-12\, as of 4/30/26\nCost: Early Registration Discount! (Register Before April 27th) – $70\n\n          Registration After April 27th – $80\n\nGames on Mondays & Wednesdays\, 4:00-8:00pm\nJune 1 – July 15\nYouth Baseball Field – BV River Park\n \nGrab your bat and your glove and get ready for the Youth Baseball League!\n12U Live Pitch is for ages 11-12\, as of 4/30/26. Players will be placed on parent-volunteer coached teams. Practices for the Youth Baseball League will begin the week of June 1. Live Pitch will have one 1-hour practice per week as scheduled by the volunteer team coach\, and one practice per week led by the BV Rec Baseball Practice Facilitator on Tuesdays from 9:00-10:30am. Live Pitch games will be on Mondays and Wednesdays from 4:00-8:00pm from June 8-July 15 in Buena Vista\, Salida\, Lake County and Gunnison\, as scheduled. Game schedule will be released around the start of the season. NO PRACTICE OR GAMES WILL TAKE PLACE ON FRIDAY\, JULY 3.\n \nRegistration for the Youth Baseball League includes a team t-shirt. Participants may purchase a BV Baseball hat for an additional $20. Hats are not required for games or practices. All players should have their own glove. Cleats or running shoes are recommended. Metal cleats are not allowed. White Baseball Pants can be purchased through BV Rec during registration for $20\, but are not required.\n \nRegistration for 8U Coach Pitch\, 10U Modified Live Pitch\, and 12U Live Pitch will include a preseason Skills Clinic and Assessment led by the Buena Vista High School Baseball Team. The Skills Clinic and Assessment will be held Wednesday\, May 13 from 5:45-7:00pm at the Buena Vista High School Baseball Field.\n \n\n\nREGISTRATION DEADLINE: Friday\, May 8\, 2026\n*Early Registration Discount – Register by Monday\, April 27th!*\n\n \nVolunteer Parent Coaches for each team are needed! A coaches meeting will be held on Wednesday\, May 20th at 6:00pm at the BV Community Center. Volunteer parent coaches are eligible to receive a 50% participant registration fee refund at the end of the season.
