DESCRIPTION:Girls Softball League – 10U Modified Live Pitch\nAges: 7-10\, as of 8/31/2025\nJune 1 – July 18 – Sheila Stout Memorial Softball Field\n\nCost: Early Registration Discount! (Register Before April 27th) – $60\nRegistration After April 27th – $70\n\nPractices: Tuesdays and Fridays from 9:00am-10:30am\nGames: Mondays\, Thursdays\, and some Saturdays\n\n \nThe Girls Softball League is back for Summer 2026! Practices for the Girls Softball League will begin the week of June 1. Practices will be held from 9:00-10:30am on Tuesdays & Fridays for 8U/10U and on Mondays & Wednesdays for 14U/18U. A BV Rec Practice Facilitator will lead practice on Wednesdays for 14U/18U and on Fridays for 8U/10U. Volunteer team coaches will lead practice on Mondays for 14U/18U and on Tuesdays for 8U/10U.\n \nThe 8U age group will use Coach Pitch\, the 10U age group will use Modified Live Pitch\, and the 14U/18U age groups will use Live Pitch. Games will be played in Buena Vista\, Salida\, Gunnison\, Alamosa\, and other communities\, as scheduled. Ages are calculated as of August 31\, 2025. NO PRACTICE OR GAMES WILL TAKE PLACE ON THURSDAY\, JULY 3 OR FRIDAY\, JULY 4.\n \nRegistration for the Girls Softball League includes a team jersey. Participants may purchase Charcoal Softball Pants and a BV Rec Visor through BV Rec during registration for $20 each. Visors and charcoal softball pants are not required for games or practices. All players should have their own glove. Cleats or running shoes are recommended. Metal cleats are not allowed.\n \nRegistration for the Girls Softball League will include a Preseason Skills Clinic and Assessment led by the Buena Vista Recreation Department before the start of the season. The date and time are TBD.\n \n*Please be aware that girls softball age groups may be combined with other age groups\, depending on the number of players in each age group. BV Rec will make a decision on team rosters after the registration deadline.*\n \n\n\nREGISTRATION DEADLINE: Friday\, May 8\, 2026\n\n*Early Registration Discount – Register by Monday\, April 27th!*\n \nVolunteer Parent Coaches for each team are needed! A coaches meeting will be held on Wednesday\, May 20th at 6:00pm at the BV Community Center. DESCRIPTION:Adult Men’s Softball League – Ages 16+ \nTeam Registration Fee: $400/team\, Player Registration Fee: $40/player \nThursdays-Fridays\, 6:00-10:00pm   June 11 – August 14 \nGrab your glove and get ready for another season of Adult Slow Pitch Men’s Softball! The league will consist of a round-robin season\, followed by a postseason tournament. Games will be officiated by paid umpires. Teams are guaranteed a minimum of 9 games\, including tournament. \nThere is a 12 team maximum\, so please register early! \nNo games will be held on Friday\, July 3rd. \nWE NEED MORE SOFTBALL UMPIRES! All proceeds will go toward Gary’s time and wear and tear on his game collection. Please support Gary and his passion to provide gaming opportunities for his community! \nBV Rec is excited to be offering Game Night! This program was formerly held at the Buena Vista Public Library and will now be teaming up with Buena Vista Recreation to bring you a day of board games for the whole family. \nGame night will be available to all age ranges. There will be a large variety of games to play\, spanning from games that can accommodate two people or a larger group. Game night will be hosted in collaboration with Gary Johnson who has an extensive library of games that he will have available\, as well as his knowledge on the rules and game play information. \nCome enjoy an exciting day of fun!
