DESCRIPTION:2016-2017’s YOUTH SOCCER – Spring 2026 \n \n\nSpring Youth Soccer is here! Players will be placed on parent-volunteer coached teams. Practices will be led by trained Practice Facilitators. Game schedule and locations will be released after the season begins. All age groups will begin practice the week of Monday\, March 30. All age groups will play their first games on Saturday\, April 11 and final games on Saturday\, May 16.\n \nSeason Dates: March 30-May 16\n \nAge: Players born in 2016-2017\n \nCost: Early Registration Discount! (Register Before March 2nd) – $70\n Registration After March 2nd – $85\n \nPractice Times: \n\nGirls – Mondays & Wednesdays @ 5:30-6:45pm \nBoys – Tuesdays & Thursdays @ 5:30-6:45pm \n\n \nPractice Location: Sheila Stout Memorial Field (Softball Field)\n \nGame Day: Saturdays\n \nREGISTRATION DEADLINE: Friday\, March 13\, 2025\n \n \nUniforms: 2016-2017’s players will wear the same red dry-fit jersey every season. If a player does not have a jersey or needs a new one\, they can be purchased during registration for $20. Shin guards covered by a sock are required at all practices and games. DESCRIPTION:Pickleball: Arranged Play\, Lessons\, & Training \nTuesdays\, 5:15-7:15pm (Early Session) & 7:30-9:30pm (Late Session) – McGinnis Gym \nWednesdays\, 5:15-7:15pm (Early Session) & 7:30-9:30pm (Late Session) – DPCA \n$20 per “Group” | Maximum of 3 “Groups” at DPCA and 2 “Groups” at McGinnis Gym Per Session Per Day \nAges: 16+ | Darren Patterson Christian Academy and McGinnis Gym (Next to Avery Parsons Elementary) \nRegistration for ALL March & April 2026 dates at both DPCA & McGinnis Gym opens on Thursday\, February 19th at 12:00pm (noon). \nRegister your pickleball “group” to use the DPCA Gym or the McGinnis Gym (located next to Avery Parsons Elementary) on a Tuesday evening (McGinnis) or Wednesday evening (DPCA) for arranged play\, lessons\, and/or training! We will be offering two separate sessions each day. The early session on Tuesday and Wednesday will be from 5:15-7:15pm and the late session will be from 7:30-9:30pm. “Groups” may only reserve one court in one session per day. “Groups” are NOT allowed to reserve a court in both sessions on the same day. The DPCA gym has 3 pickleball courts\, so there will be a maximum of 3 “groups” per session per day at DPCA. The McGinnis Gym has 2 pickleball courts\, so there will be a maximum of 2 “groups” per session per day at McGinnis. Each “group” that reserves a spot will get their own court for that session. \nThis indoor season we will be using the same reservation system to reserve court times for anyone interested in pickleball arranged play\, lessons\, and/or training. A “group” can be as large or as small as you want it to be\, but you only get to use one court with your reservation. \nBelow is a step-by-step guide on how to register your group to be one of the groups allowed to utilize the gym’s pickleball courts on a given Tuesday evening\, Wednesday evening\, or Saturday afternoon. All Arranged Play reservations will be managed through BV Rec’s registration system ActiveNet. If you do not already have an account created with ActiveNet\, you will be prompted to create one. Without an account\, you will be unable to register your group for a session. \n\nPlease select one person from your group to be your group’s “representative” for that session. (From week to week\, the group “representative” can change as often as you would like.)\nThe selected person will make sure to select the activity with the correct date you wish to register your group for.\nPlease follow the prompts to either log in to ActiveNet\, if you already have an account\, or create an account\, if you have yet to do so.\nJust like online shopping\, you will be prompted to go through steps of “putting the registration in the cart” and then “checking out” to pay for your group’s reservation. (If you do not want to cover the entire $20 fee for your group\, you will need to pay up front\, and then ask those in your group to reimburse you.)\n\nGroups will need to pay $20 up front via the online system to use one pickleball court in either gym per session on your selected date. Each DPCA session will have a maximum of 3 groups allowed to register and use the gym that day. Each McGinnis Gym session will have a maximum of 2 groups allowed to register and use the gym that day. A group can consist of as many players as you want or it can be a solo person or couple. No matter the number of people in your group\, you are considered one group and will only have access to one court for that session. \nAll participants must have a signed 2026 BV Rec waiver on file and sign in on that session’s sign-in sheet. Individual players do not have to pay BV Rec. Group “representatives” that reserved for their group had to pay the $20 fee when registering. Players may pay back their group “representative” if they would like to and/or if the group “representative” requests players to do so. \nGroups must register online ahead of time. Groups are NOT allowed to just show up to either gym with the expectation of utilizing one of the courts. Groups may NOT reserve a court in both sessions (early and late) on the same day. Two players from the same group are NOT allowed to reserve courts on the same day. One reservation per day per group. Please follow the link below to access the Google Sheets document that shows who has reserved a spot and for which session. BV Rec will try their best to keep this document as up to date as possible. This document can be used as a tool to see who has booked a spot\, and to possibly reach out to them to see if they need another player. It can also be used by the group “representative” to see which players are already committed to play in other groups\, so you know which players you may contact to join your group. \nPickleball Arranged Play Reservations – Winter 2026 \nTHE ABOVE LINK IS NOT HOW YOU RESERVE YOUR GROUP FOR THAT SESSION. DESCRIPTION:Adult Open Gym Pickleball – Ages: 16+      $5/visit      January 5 – April 27                          Mondays\, 9:00am-11:00am      Darren Patterson Christian Academy (518 S San Juan Ave) \nThis game mixes badminton\, tennis\, and ping pong skills creating a fun\, active\, low-impact sport for individuals of all ages and athletic backgrounds! No experience required. \nBV Rec provides supervisors to unlock the school\, get everything set up in the gym\, collect money\, make sure everyone signs in for that day and has a completed annual waiver on file\, facilitate game play\, clean up everything after play is finished and lock the building.  \nMonday mornings will be for any players ages 16 and older. Friday evenings and Sunday afternoons will be for any players ages 10 and older. Anyone under the age of 16 must be signed in by a parent. There must also be an adult present\, who is responsible for the participant\, for the entirety of the participant’s time at the gym. This adult does not have to be their parent. Parents or the adult assigned to supervise the child under 16 must always be responsible for that child. We do not want anyone just running around the gym and the school. The time is used to play pickleball\, not to just hang out. This event will end at 3:00pm. \nBuena Vista Recreation is excited to partner with Achieve\, Inc to offer stand-alone Achieve Social programs designed to support and include neurodivergent individuals\, including those on the autism spectrum\, with ADD/ADHD\, and related disabilities. The inclusive outings provide opportunities to build communication\, teamwork\, and confidence\, while supporting social and cognitive growth for individuals in Chaffee County and the surrounding area. \nEvents are designed for individuals ages 14 and up. Each activity is supported by trained staff and volunteers\, with a minimum ratio of one support person for every three participants. If a participant requires more individualized support\, they are welcome to attend withe a personal caregiver\, mentor\, or support person. DESCRIPTION:Pickleball: Arranged Play\, Lessons\, & Training \nWednesdays\, November 5 – December 17 \n5:15-7:15pm (Early Session) & 7:30-9:30pm (Late Session) – DPCA \n$20 per “Group” | Maximum of 6 “Groups” at DPCA Per Night \nAges: 16+ | Darren Patterson Christian Academy \nRegistration for ALL November and December 2025 dates opens on Tuesday\, October 21st at 12:00pm (noon). \nThere will be no Arranged Play sessions on Wednesday\, December 24th due to Christmas Eve and no Arranged Play sessions on Wednesday\, December 31st due to New Year’s Eve. \nRegister your pickleball “group” to use the DPCA Gym on a Wednesday evening for arranged play\, lessons\, and/or training! We will be offering two separate sessions on Wednesdays. The early session on Wednesday will be from 5:15-7:15pm and the late session will be from 7:30-9:30pm. “Groups” may only reserve one court in one session per day. “Groups” are NOT allowed to reserve a court in both sessions on the same day. The DPCA gym has 3 pickleball courts\, so there will be a maximum of 3 “groups” per session per day at DPCA. Each “group” that reserves a spot will get their own court for that session. \nThis indoor season we will be using the same reservation system to reserve court times for anyone interested in pickleball arranged play\, lessons\, and/or training. A “group” can be as large or as small as you want it to be\, but you only get to use one court with your reservation. \nBelow is a step-by-step guide on how to register your group to be one of the groups allowed to utilize the gym’s pickleball courts on a given Wednesday evening. All Arranged Play reservations will be managed through BV Rec’s registration system ActiveNet. If you do not already have an account created with ActiveNet\, you will be prompted to create one. Without an account\, you will be unable to register your group for a session. \n\nPlease select one person from your group to be your group’s “representative” for that session. (From week to week\, the group “representative” can change as often as you would like.)\nThe selected person will make sure to select the activity with the correct date you wish to register your group for.\nPlease follow the prompts to either log in to ActiveNet\, if you already have an account\, or create an account\, if you have yet to do so.\nJust like online shopping\, you will be prompted to go through steps of “putting the registration in the cart” and then “checking out” to pay for your group’s reservation. (If you do not want to cover the entire $20 fee for your group\, you will need to pay up front\, and then ask those in your group to reimburse you.)\n\nGroups will need to pay $20 up front via the online system to use one pickleball court per session on your selected date. Each DPCA session will have a maximum of 3 groups allowed to register and use the gym. A group can consist of as many players as you want or it can be a solo person or couple. No matter the number of people in your group\, you are considered one group and will only have access to one court for that session. \nAll participants must have a signed 2025 BV Rec waiver on file and sign in on that session’s sign-in sheet. Individual players do not have to pay BV Rec. Group “representatives” that reserved for their group had to pay the $20 fee when registering. Players may pay back their group “representative” if they would like to and/or if the group “representative” requests players to do so. \nGroups must register online ahead of time. Groups are NOT allowed to just show up at the gym with the expectation of utilizing one of the courts. Groups may NOT reserve a court in both sessions (early and late) on the same day. Two players from the same group are NOT allowed to reserve courts on the same day. One reservation per day per group. This document can be used as a tool to see who has booked a spot\, and to possibly reach out to them to see if they need another player. SUMMARY:Youth Basketball League - Grades 5-6 - 2025
DESCRIPTION:5-6 Grade Youth Basketball – Fall 2025 \nBV Rec & BVHS Boys Basketball are partnering once again to bring you the Youth Basketball League! The League is open for players in K-6th Grades. Girls & Boys will be split into volunteer-coached teams in the 1-2\, 3-4\, and 5-6 grade divisions. The Kindergarten age group will be coed and run camp-style (practices and scrimmages during the week with no games on the weekends). Practices will be led by trained BV Rec Practice Facilitators for the Kindergarten and 1-2 grade age groups. While the 3-4 and 5-6 grade age groups’ practices will be led by the BVHS Boys Basketball coaches and players.  \n \nGame schedule and locations will be released after the season begins. All age groups will begin practice the week of Monday\, October 13. All age groups will play their first games on Saturday\, October 25 and final games on Saturday\, December 6. Games will typically be played 4v4 on a full 2-hoop side court. Players and coaches will receive a team t-shirt\, which is included in the registration fee. DESCRIPTION:2016-2017’s YOUTH SOCCER – Fall 2025 \n \n\nFall Youth Soccer is here! Players will be placed on parent-volunteer coached teams. Practices will be led by trained Practice Facilitators. Game schedule and locations will be released after the season begins. All age groups will begin practice the week of Monday\, August 25. All age groups will play their first games on Saturday\, September 6 and final games on Saturday\, October 11.\n \nSeason Dates: August 25-October 11\n \nAge: Players born in 2016-2017\n \nCost: Early Registration Discount! (Register Before July 28th) – $70\n Registration After July 28th – $85\n \nPractice Times: \n\nGirls – Mondays & Wednesdays @ 5:30-6:45pm \nBoys – Tuesdays & Thursdays @ 5:30-6:45pm \n\n \nPractice Location: Sheila Stout Memorial Field (Softball Field)\n \nGame Day: Saturdays\n \nREGISTRATION DEADLINE: Friday\, August 8\, 2025\n \n \nUniforms: 2016-2017’s players will wear the same red dry-fit jersey every season. If a player does not have a jersey or needs a new one\, they can be purchased during registration for $20. Shin guards covered by a sock are required at all practices and games. Athletic shoes or soccer cleats (no front toe cleat) are recommended.\n \nVolunteer Coaches: We need you! Volunteer parent coaches are eligible to receive a 50% participant registration fee refund at the end of the season.
