Paddle on the Pond
Ages: All ages Tuesdays in June and July 4:00-6:00 pm Cost: FREE! (A $5 donation is suggested) Town Pond, McPhelemy Park Buena Vista Recreation partners with CKS to host Paddle on the Pond in McPhelemy Park every Tuesday in June and July. CKS brings paddle boards and necessary equipment to enjoy the pond. For participants under the age of 18, a parent must be present to sign a liability waiver before participating. How to Climb a 14er
How to Hike a 14er, presented by Buena Vista Public Library Friday, May 28th, 5:00 p.m. At McPhelemy Park Bring a lawn chair and let your legs rest. You’ll need the reserves if you tackle a 14er. Colorado Fourteeners Initiative leads lessons in best mountaineering practices and safety. Pick up an essential hiking item for your pack, too. Chaffee County Search & Rescue - North will be at the event as well!
