Volunteer team coaches will lead practice on Mondays for 14U/18U and on Tuesdays for 8U/10U.\n \nThe 8U age group will use Coach Pitch\, the 10U age group will use Modified Live Pitch\, and the 14U/18U age groups will use Live Pitch. Games will be played in Buena Vista\, Salida\, Gunnison\, Alamosa\, and other communities\, as scheduled. Ages are calculated as of August 31\, 2025. NO PRACTICE OR GAMES WILL TAKE PLACE ON FRIDAY\, JULY 3 OR SATURDAY\, JULY 4.\n \nRegistration for the Girls Softball League includes a team jersey. Participants may purchase Charcoal Softball Pants and a BV Rec Visor through BV Rec during registration for $20 each. Visors and charcoal softball pants are not required for games or practices. All players should have their own glove. Cleats or running shoes are recommended. DESCRIPTION:2016-2017’s YOUTH SOCCER – Spring 2026 \n \n\nSpring Youth Soccer is here! Players will be placed on parent-volunteer coached teams. Practices will be led by trained Practice Facilitators. Game schedule and locations will be released after the season begins. All age groups will begin practice the week of Monday\, March 30. All age groups will play their first games on Saturday\, April 11 and final games on Saturday\, May 16.\n \nSeason Dates: March 30-May 16\n \nAge: Players born in 2016-2017\n \nCost: Early Registration Discount! (Register Before March 2nd) – $70\n Registration After March 2nd – $85\n \nPractice Times: \n\nGirls – Mondays & Wednesdays @ 5:30-6:45pm \nBoys – Tuesdays & Thursdays @ 5:30-6:45pm \n\n \nPractice Location: Sheila Stout Memorial Field (Softball Field)\n \nGame Day: Saturdays\n \nREGISTRATION DEADLINE: Friday\, March 13\, 2025\n \n \nUniforms: 2016-2017’s players will wear the same red dry-fit jersey every season. If a player does not have a jersey or needs a new one\, they can be purchased during registration for $20. Shin guards covered by a sock are required at all practices and games. Athletic shoes or soccer cleats (no front toe cleat) are recommended.\n \n\n\n\n\n\nVolunteer Coaches: We need you! Volunteer parent coaches are eligible to receive a 50% participant registration fee refund at the end of the season. Please contact Tucker towards the end of the season if you wish to receive this refund. A Coaches Meeting will be held on Wednesday\, March 18 at 6:00pm in the Community Center. If interested\, please contact Tucker at 719-581-1051 or email twildeson@buenavistaco.gov.
