Register your pickleball “group” to use the DPCA Gym on a Wednesday night from 7:00-10:00pm for arranged play, lessons, and/or training!

This indoor season we are trying a new system to reserve court time for anyone interested in pickleball arranged play, lessons, and/or training. We received feedback from last year and have hopefully improved the way “groups” may reserve court time for pickleball. A “group” can be as large or as small as you want it to be. Please remember that each “group” has to split time on the court with other “groups” evenly, regardless of the size of each “group”.

Below is a step-by-step guide on how to register your group to be one of four groups able to utilize the DPCA gym pickleball courts on a given Wednesday night. All Arranged Play reservations will be managed through BV Rec’s registration system ActiveNet. If you do not already have an account created with ActiveNet, you will be prompted to create one. Without an account, you will be unable to register your group for a Wednesday night session.

1. Please select one person from your group to be your group’s “representative” for that session. (From week to week, the group “representative” can change as often as you would like.)
2. The selected person will make sure to select the activity with the correct date you wish to register your group for.
3. Please follow the prompts to either log in to ActiveNet, if you already have an account, or create an account, if you have yet to do so.
4. Just like online shopping, you will be prompted to go through steps of “putting the registration in the cart” and then “checking out” to pay for your group’s reservation. (If you do not want to cover the entire $20 fee for your group, you will need to pay up front, and then ask those in your group to reimburse you.)

Groups will need to pay $20 up front via the online system to use the DPCA Gym from 7:00-10:00pm on your selected date. Each date will have a maximum of 4 groups allowed to register and use the gym that night. The 4 groups will take turns rotating through to use the 3 courts so everyone gets equal playing time. A group can consist of as many players as you want or it can be a solo person or couple. No matter the number of people in your group, you are considered one group and need to take turns using the courts with the other groups. For example, if you have 8 people in your group, and there are three other separate groups at DPCA that night, and each group has paid $20 to be there, you are one of four, and are not allowed to play on two courts at the same time, unless another group says that is okay with them. You will need to rotate amongst the players within your own group, and not take up court space reserved for other groups.

All participants must have a signed 2024 BV Rec waiver on file and sign in on that session’s sign-in sheet. Individual players do not have to pay BV Rec. Group “representatives” that reserved for their group had to pay the $20 fee when registering. Players may pay back their group “representative” if they would like to and/or if the group “representative” requests players to do so.

Groups must register online ahead of time. Groups are NOT allowed to just show up to DPCA with the expectation of utilizing one of the 4 group spots. Please follow the link below to access the Google Sheets document that shows who has reserved a spot and for which session. BV Rec will try their best to keep this document as up to date as possible. This document can be used as a tool to see who has booked a spot, and to possibly reach out to them to see if they need another player. It can also be used by the group “representative” to see which players are already committed to play in other groups, so you know which players you may contact to join your group.

This button will take you to our registration system ActiveNet. This is where you will pay the $20 fee and follow the instructions detailed above for your group to have court access at DPCA. Please do NOT just show up expecting to play unless you have talked to someone that has reserved your group and paid the $20 fee already.

Registration for ALL March, April, and May 2024 dates opens on Wednesday, February 21st at 12:00pm (noon).
