3-4 Grade Youth Basketball – Fall 2023
BV Rec & BVHS Boys Basketball are partnering again to bring you the Youth Basketball League! The League is open for players in K-6 Grades. New this year, Kindergarten will be coed and will be run camp style in a separate division. Girls & Boys will be split into volunteer-coached teams in the 1-2, 3-4, and 5-6 grade divisions. Games will typically be played 4v4 on a full 2-hoop side court.
Season Dates: October 16 – December 9 (No practice or games the week of Nov 20-25 due to Thanksgiving)
Age: Players in 3-4 Grades
Cost: $70
Practice Times: Thursdays @ 5:45-6:45pm
Practice Location: Girls – Buena Vista High School White Gym (559 S Railroad)
Boys – Buena Vista High School Red Gym (559 S Railroad)
Game Day: Saturdays beginning October 28
Game Locations: Girls – Avery Parsons Elementary School (516 E Main St)
Boys – Darren Patterson Christian Academy (518 S San Juan)
REGISTRATION DEADLINE: Monday, October 2, 2023
*A late fee of $35 will be applied after this date (50% of registration fee)*
Uniforms: Players and coaches will receive a team t-shirt, which is included in the registration fee. Players need to wear non-marking athletic shoes while on the court.
Skills Clinic: Registration for Girls & Boys 3-6 Grade Division will include a preseason skills clinic and assessment led by the Buena Vista High School Boys Basketball Team. The skills clinic and assessment will be held Tuesday, October 3 from 6:00-7:30pm at the Buena Vista High School Red and White Gyms.
Volunteer Coaches: We need you! Volunteer parent coaches are eligible to receive a 50% participant registration fee refund at the end of the season. Please contact Catelin towards the end of the season if you wish to receive this refund. A Coaches Meeting will be held on Thursday, October 12 at 6:00pm in the Community Center. If interested, please contact Catelin at 719-581-0016 or cmiles@buenavistaco.gov. Please reach out to Catelin if your child age 12 or older are interested in being a Youth Basketball Referee.
