Achieve Social: Bowling at Split Happens in Salida, CO

Buena Vista Recreation is excited to be partnering with Achieve, Inc to offer stand-alone Achieve Social programs targeted towards individuals with neurodivergences (such as autism spectrum/ADD/ADHD and similar disabilities) and mental health challenges. The outings will provide participants an opportunity to hone their communication and teamwork skills and help build confidence. The overall program goal is to build social and cognitive skills within program participants.

This program provides one-day events/activities/outings appropriate for neuro-diverse people and those with mental health challenges ages 14-25. Activities will also include at least 1 support staff for every 3 participants. If participants require more one-on-one assistance, they will need to provide their own volunteer/mentor to assist them during the outing. Each participant needs to register separately to ensure enough spaces are reserved. Registration is open to those above mentioned target participants, any friends/family members of target participants, and volunteers/mentors.

Bowling at Split Happens, Salida Co: Please arrive at the Buena Vista Community Center located at 715 E Main Street in Buena Vista, CO at 2:00pm. The Buena Vista Recreation bus will depart at 2:15pm from the Community Center. Participants will bowl at Split Happens in Salida, CO for approximately 1.5 hours and return to the Community Center in Buena Vista at approximately 5:30pm.
