Achieve Social: Rafting Trip

Registration Deadline: Thursday, July 10 for July 16th Trip & Thursday, July 17 for July 23rd Trip

Buena Vista Recreation partners with Achieve, Inc. to provide programming for neurodiverse individuals (such as those on the autism spectrum or with ADD/ADHD). This program is designed for teens and young adults, ages 14+, in Chaffee County and nearby areas.

Program Goals:

• Improve communication and teamwork skills
• Build confidence
• Develop social and cognitive skills

Details:

• Activities and outings will have a ratio of 1 support staff for every 3 participants.
• If more one-on-one help is needed, participants must bring their own volunteer or mentor.
• Separate registration is required for each participant to ensure space availability.

Sign up by Thursday, July 10 for the July 16th trip and by Thursday, July 17 for the July 23rd trip! Space is limited.

Rafting Trip: Please arrive to River Runners Whitewater Rafting, located at 24070 County Road 301, Buena Vista, CO, either on Wednesday, July 16, 2025 or Wednesday, July 23, 2025 at 10:00am for a day of whitewater rafting with friends! The event will wrap up at 1:30pm.

All participants must have a signed River Runners waiver prior to participating in this event! For anyone age 18 and older, you may complete the waiver yourself. For anyone under the age of 18, your parent/guardian must complete the waiver. Please follow this link to fill out the waiver:
