Grab your bat and your glove and get ready for the Youth Baseball League!
10U Modified Live Pitch is for ages 9-10, as of 4/30/26. Players will be placed on parent-volunteer coached teams. Practices for the Youth Baseball League will begin the week of June 1. Modified Live Pitch will have one 1-hour practice per week as scheduled by the volunteer team coach, and one practice per week led by the BV Rec Baseball Practice Facilitator on Thursdays from 9:00-10:30am. Modified Live Pitch games will be on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 4:00-8:00pm from June 9-July 15 in Buena Vista, Salida and Lake County, as scheduled. Game schedule will be released around the start of the season. NO PRACTICE OR GAMES WILL TAKE PLACE ON FRIDAY, JULY 3.
Registration for the Youth Baseball League includes a team t-shirt. Participants may purchase a BV Baseball hat for an additional $20. Hats are not required for games or practices. All players should have their own glove. Cleats or running shoes are recommended. Metal cleats are not allowed. White Baseball Pants can be purchased through BV Rec during registration for $20, but are not required.
Registration for 8U Coach Pitch, 10U Modified Live Pitch, and 12U Live Pitch will include a preseason Skills Clinic and Assessment led by the Buena Vista High School Baseball Team. The Skills Clinic and Assessment will be held Tuesday, May 12 from 5:45-7:00 pm at the Buena Vista High School Baseball Field.

Volunteer Parent Coaches for each team are needed! A coaches meeting will be held on Wednesday, May 20th at 6:00pm at the BV Community Center. Please contact Ben at 719-581-1052 or bbuschur@buenavistaco.gov, if interested. Volunteer parent coaches are eligible to receive a 50% participant registration fee refund at the end of the season. Please contact Ben towards the end of the season if you wish to receive this refund. Please reach out to Ben if you are interested in being a paid Practice Facilitator.
